You work as the research assistant for Old News Magazine, a weekly periodical that features last week’s news. Your boss has recently become concerned about the potential for viruses on the computers in the office. She wants you to research the various antivirus packages available, and then make a recommendation as to which one she should buy and install on the office computers.
Log onto the Internet and use a search engine to research computer viruses and antivirus software.
Create a new word processing document (USING Microsoft Word) and save it as “YOUR_NAME_AntivirusSoftwareReview.docx”.
Add a table to your document that has four columns and four rows.
Find the names of four leading antivirus software packages and list them in the first column.
List the publishers/developers name in the second column of the table.
Document the Web sites for each package in the third column.
Find several articles that review each package and, in the fourth column of the table, note the critics’ recommendations.
Write a paragraph below the table discussing the similarities and differences among the packages.
Finally, make a recommendation for your boss based on your research.
Put your name and student number at the bottom of the assignment. Save your document using the default extension of Microsoft Word.
Use the spell checker and grammar checker because you may lose marks for spelling and grammatical errors.
