THE STUDY PROPOSAL
The Study Proposal due is a research proposal on your chosen topic. It includes identification of methodology, data collection and analysis approaches, and ethical issues that need to be considered.
Topic: The Importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Public Organizations
Write a 6 page paper in the third person academic, using a formal, scholarly, and objective tone. Avoid the use of first- and second-person pronouns, contractions, & casual or conversational tone. Include at least 12 peer-reviewed sources, no older than 7 years; APA Formatting; Font & font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
Instructions
Now that you have learned about qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and action research, you will write a research methodology and ethics paper. This assignment provides an opportunity for you to apply your learning to your research topic. This is something that you will need to do as part of your capstone/dissertation, as well.
Organize your paper with the following sections:
• Introduction: The opening content under your paper should provide an introduction of your chosen topic and what will be included in your paper.
• Design of Study: Provide an overview of the research topic, question, hypotheses, type of study, data methods, and the collection and analysis of data.Population and Sampling: Describe the population targeted for the study, the sample, and how the sample will be chosen.
• Collection of Data: Describe the how, where, and when of data collection, as well as required details for proposed interviews and surveys, as relevant. If you plan to conduct interviews, discuss whether they will be structured or not and provide sample questions as an appendix to the text. If you plan to conduct a survey, include sample questions as an appendix to the text.
• Analysis of Data: Describe how the data will be analyzed, including justification for chosen methods. You must be detailed in discussing the identification and justification of your methods.
• Ethics: Analyze ethical issues you can objectively visualize with your research topic and conducting your research—from your role as the researcher, to gaining participants, to collecting and analyzing data.
• Conclusion: Emphasize the main themes of the proposal based on the synthesis of the literature reviewed. Use feedback you received from your instructor in the Literature Review assignment to provide a concise explanation of how the existing literature supports the proposal.
• References: Your citations must have references and your references need to be included within your paper as in-text citations.
