Task Sheet #13 (Poetry)
Due: December 3 before class begins (1:30 p.m.)
Directions:
Step 1: In class we looked at a PowerPoint focused on poetry. Review this material which you will find on Blackboard in a folder entitled “Class PowerPoints” and also review chapter 6 in your textbook.
Step 2: In the Task 13 folder you will find two handouts. One is entitled “Poems for Task 13” and the second one is entitled “Poetry—Types and Tools.” (If you need definitions related to the types and tools, you will find this information in chapter 6 of the textbook.)
For each of the four poems, you will: (1) identify the type of poem it is, and (2) identify at least 2 tools the poet uses in the poem, giving examples of each tool.
Step 3: Turn in your work on Blackboard by November 24 before 1:30.
