Choose (3) poems we have read in the past few weeks and write an essay which includes your analysis of each poem. To do this, you must find
connections/similarities which allow you to link the poems together with a thesis that describes the connection you want to focus on between the poems. To
help you envision and plan your essay, please refer to the poetry analysis template in Module 2. Ultimately, this essay will be three pages in length.

Impressing your Audience
The audience of your essay is essentially your professor. To help you visualize what I like to see in a piece of writing for this course, I have created the
following Outline Template for a Literary Analysis Essay. Before embarking on the writing process for your first essay, I strongly urge you to review the file and
even download it and use it as a template which will look very much like a rough draft. Try it!
The following template specializes on writing about poetry and can serve as a general outline for your essay. You will have to decide what your essay should
include or not include. Just be sure your explication is thorough and organized.
