Find three sources from the primary literature (scientific journals).
Find one paper of interest and look to the literature cited section to find references for the other two papers.
These papers should be on topics related to the topic covered in the first paper.
Compare and contrast the following elements:

b. Relate any observations that prompted the the authors do the reported research
c. What was the hypothesis being tested to explain the preliminary observations
d. General statement of how the author(s) tested the hypothesis

b. Another investigator must be able to exactly duplicate your work by reading this section
c. In your paper, summarize the major procedures only
a. What happened? What was observed?
b. How did the authors interpret their results. Did theirresults support of refute their hypotheses or were
c. Results are usually interpreted using statistical analysis
a. Explain the results reported in these papers
b. Compare the results to those of similar experiments performed by other investigators
c. How does the work reported fit into the body of scientific knowledge
d. Did these papers provide any suggestions for further research
