This week, we discussed challenges within an organization. You will have an opportunity to gain insight about how to determine a challenge, what caused the challenge, whether the challenge was internal (within the organization) or external (from an outside influence), and how the challenge was resolved.
For this activity:
Download the Formative Activity 1 – Interview Template and save it to your computer.
Follow the outline in the template to complete the activity.
Conduct an interview with your current or prior manager or leader.
a. During the interview, ask the following questions:
i. What is a challenge you faced?
ii. In your opinion, what was the cause of the challenge?
iii. Was the challenge internal or external?
iv. How did you resolve the challenge?
Summarize the interview; include the questions prior to each answer using the interview template.
Explain what you learned from the interview. Is there anything you would have done differently?
Save your document as FirstInitial_LastName_JGR300_FA1.
Submit your activity using the Week 3 activity link in Blackboard.
