One of the best ways to demonstrate understanding of important concepts is to see if you can explain them
to a child. For this assignment, you’ll create an imaginary web page (though it can be a real one, if you
have that capability) to explain one of the concepts from the book “Dispatches from Planet 3 by Marcia
Bartusiak” to someone approximately junior high school age.
Feel free to make this as colorful as you wish. It can be a single page, or it can have links. It should
definitely include some images.
If you have the expertise to make this in HTML with an HTML editor, by all means do so. Otherwise, you
can use Word or PowerPoint to make a mock up or save as a web page.
Here are some examples of good kids’ science sites. In this short assignment, you won’t be making
something this involved, so just choose a small area to concentrate on.
