In response to the pandemic, the governments and public health authorities are taking serious measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the safety and well- being of the populations. However, the incidence and prevalence of COVID-19 infections have been showing an increase in many parts of the world, including the UAE. Understanding the distribution and determinants of COVID-19 is crucial to assess the risk of developing the disease and suggest proper plans for prevention.
To evaluate the incidence and prevalence of the COVID-19 infectious disease as well as the risk factors that may affect the general health and well-being of the population and to highlight considerations for implementing and adjusting public health and social measures in that context.
