2. Project:
Declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization in March 2020, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is having a significant impact on the lives of millions in various countries across the world. Over the last few months, the primary concern was to minimize the spread of the virus, to mitigate its effects and to protect the most vulnerable groups. In response to the pandemic, the governments and public health authorities are taking serious measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the safety and well- being of the populations. However, the incidence and prevalence of COVID-19 infections have been showing an increase in many parts of the world, including the UAE. Understanding the distribution and determinants of COVID-19 is crucial to assess the risk of developing the disease and suggest proper plans for prevention.
Objectives:
To evaluate the incidence and prevalence of the COVID-19 infectious disease as well as the risk factors that may affect the general health and well-being of the population and to highlight considerations for implementing and adjusting public health and social measures in that context.
Hints : refer to the number of cases of copied 19 in the UAE from the start of the pandemic – the new cases, active cases, number of recovery and death ( refer to UAE Ministry of Health).
3. Presentation:
