To underpin this, the module will include the development and application of some quantitative methods for example questionnaires, Bristol Online Survey, and Excel as well as qualitative techniques.
Your focus will be on demonstrating knowledge and practice required to successfully plan a consultancy project with your client to address the actual organisational problem or opportunity identified in DAP510 CPPA. You will need to consider your experiences as you work with your clients to shape and define their proposal and to get to grips with the ambiguities that will often present themselves which can be addressed in your proposal and your reflection.
Formative assessment will be ongoing through feedback from your tutors and peers during the workshops, and particularly through the development of the portfolio. You will be required to cover the following learning outcomes (LOs):
Demonstrate a systematic and coherent understanding of the development of a programme of work with the client that will form the basis of the consultancy project
A plan, in the form of a portfolio of artefacts, as to how the consultancy project is expected to progress. A justification as to the choices made (techniques, tools outputs) as to how they will meet the client’s objectives
Appropriately select techniques of analysis and enquiry to address the client’s needs, this will include:
Tools Methods of working Selection of suitable outputs
A narrative of the working environment and a reflective account of the students’ position within it
A plan describing how the consultancy assignment is expected to proceed consisting of a folder of pieces (including practical/professional reports) totalling 2,450 words in a style fitting the client’s culture. This will include a clear justification of the choices made.
