Legal Correspondents/Case Due:
Select one of the following assigned news agencies, identify the legal correspondent, and write a three-page report about the correspondent. Include information about the correspondent’s background in journalism and the most influential case (s) he/she has covered. Include information about the case, the case history and an analysis that addresses:
§ The main issues raised (ex. libel, privacy, etc.) that are relevant to mass media coverage
§ Examples of those issues and the case’s outcome
§ How the case applies to what you see in media and society today
§ Your personal reaction and why
In addition to the paper, create a PowerPoint for a 15-minute presentation to the class that includes the aforementioned information.
