Homework problems -chapter 6
Please work and post your answers (either type in word document or scan your handwriting) to problems
6/1, 6/6 and 6/9 from Chapter 6 of the textbook (The CH 6 problems are attached here)
Please follow the following instructions in completing and posting your answers
The best way to solve the problems assigned each week is the following systematic and deliberate approach
1.Read the chapter on the book and then look at the power points – ( make sure you read the book and follow the examples)
2.Now that you are comfortable with the process; read the problem to make sure you understand what you are looking for , find the correct formula from the textbook and then slowly fill in the numbers that are needed to get the answer
3.I usually advise students to: (a) write a short narrative of what the problem is calling for and the formulas that you will need to get the answer (b) separate the data given (c) create a work station that you do intermediate calculations ( d) check to see if the answer that you have gotten matches what you were looking for and box your response
Following these steps will make life a lot easier and the work more enjoyable
