WRITING SECTION: This section of the course will focus on writing the
standard university essay which includes an introduction, supporting
paragraphs, and a conclusion. The essay you are asked to write does not
require research.
Essay will be graded according to the attached Writing Rubric. Final
grades will be determined by the progress shown with the essay. Individual
progress according to the rubric must be demonstrated.
Topic for Essay: During the time you spent as a student at F, what specific sights, experiences, and/or encounters within the
School of Business and Information Sciences inspired you to value a
quest for God? Was it something you witnessed during a community
service project? Did you experience an inspirational encounter with a
professor, a staff member, or another student? Perhaps it was an
enlightening classroom experience, the content of a course, a required
reading, or the result of a research project. Whether it was one event or a
series of events, document the occurrence through a descriptive narrative
essay, and demonstrate how it has enriched you and your ability to value a
quest for God. Essay must be 800-1,000 words.
